Introduction
Virginia Woolf said, in A Room of One's Own, "At any rate, when a subject is highly controversial one cannot hope to tell the truth. One can only show how one came to hold whatever opinion one does hold."
In this book I show how I came to hold my highly controversial ideas. It is almost an autobiography, but not quite, because it only deals with one third of my life the third that has been involved in education. The majority of books about education are boring, but that is because they are about traditional education. This book is about an escape.
